INGREDIENTS:
Potatoes cut
into dices (4-5).
Poppy seeds/Posto
(100gms).
Dried red
chillies (2-3).
Mustard oil
(15-25ml).
Salt to taste.
PROCEDURE:
Grind poppy
seeds to paste along with dried red chillies and keep aside.
Now heat oil in
a pan, as smoke emits from pan, simmer it and add potatoes and fry golden
brown, now add poppy seeds and dried chilli paste to it, mix it well and add
salt and water and let it cook in closed lid, cook till potatoes gets softer
and you will find posto expands and now remove the lid and bring the water to
boil and let it dry up as per your required consistency. Posto wraps around
soft potatoes, now add about 3-5ml of mustard oil and mix well and off the
flame. Serve it with steamed rice and enjoy the tongue tickling awesome taste
of alu posto.
